Current Job Openings:
Vacancies are advertised in local newspapers, Employment Security Commission as well as on our website.We only accept resumes and applications for vacant positions. Applications must be submitted to the Human Resources Department by the posted closing date. Applications may be downloaded from our website or you may contact the Human Resources office to request that an application be mailed to you. We cannot guarantee that applications mailed from this office will be received in time for applicants to meet the posted closing dates. A resume cannot be submitted in lieu of an application. All Town of Elizabethtown applications must be completed in their entirety. Only one position may be specified on the application.

Application Screening Process:
Applications meeting the minimum qualifications are referred to the hiring supervisors for their review. Applications will only be considered for the vacancy specified on the application.  After the interview process is complete, Human Resources will notify the prospective candidate.

Drug Screening:
All applicants considered for employment will be asked to submit to drug testing prior to being offered employment.  All full-time positions require physicals paid for by the town.  These physicals will only be scheduled after a job offer has been extended.  Employment is contingent upon a positive recommendation from our physician.

Probationary Period:
New employees are subject to a probationary period of at least six months, some postions may require a probationary period of up to a year.  If performance and conduct meet acceptable standards, a regular appointment is given.
